Delicate salad vegetable that can be sown and harvested throughout the summer. If sown late, small onions can be overwintered for harvesting in early spring. The taste is mild and delicate, like a small onion. Thrives best in moldy, preferably calcareous soil. Water during drought to obtain mild plants. Cover with non-woven fabric against onion flies. Change location every year.
